@britishmotorheritage supply the new body shells with a comprehensive "seam sealer" instruction manual 😀
Japanese project Mini - Ian over at @dustys_auto_distillery is still prepping the shell for paint and has sanded all the primer down inside and out and got to the point the shell needs seam sealer - all shells arrive without sealer from @britishmotorheritage as every bodyshop uses different materials and brands so to avoid any reaction this is left to the individual bodyshop to apply their favorite flavor ..... The MK2 shells are not 100% age accurate so we have @dustys_auto_distillery doing a few small body mods and welding up unnecessary holes from where this shell shares some panels with later models ....#refurbishminiproject #sanwamini #sanwa_trading_co #playmini
Playmini has worked for many years with Ian @dustys_auto_distillery and he knows us well, too well ! So the brand new shell is having Ian's magic wand waved over it - starting with getting the door gaps right and up to our Playmini standard 😀 New doesn't necessarily mean right and with all good things a lot of preparation work goes into producing something nice and not just "off the shelf"![]()
